this story seems random but it’ll make sense lol…

3 months ago I took a solo trip to Aruba.

I felt a little stale, my life runs in seasons, sometimes im super inspired and sometimes I lose that, solo travel has always helped me get it back.

I wanted to try something I’d never done so I tried kitesurfing (got absolutely slammed) but had a great instructor @nicoverploeg.

Turns out Nico is a DJ, something I’d always wanted to try. (Music is one of my greatest joys)

He invited me to his set and I spent 2 hours behind the booth watching him.

I remember him dropping a tech house remix of Smooth Criminal and I just LOST it, it sounded INSANE.

It was a big moment for me, the idea that you can pick a song and make a room full of people feel something they’ll remember forever.

I decided I wanted just ONE moment like that before I die.

Back in Dubai I bought some decks, James Hype’s old course and fell in love with DJing. Just for fun, love of the game.

2 months later I got offered a yacht gig and turned it down. I was terrified of fucking it up.

I hated that I’d let fear of embarrassment win and promised myself I’d say yes next time.

3 days ago @callumhughes asked me to DJ his yacht party. 4 hour set. 48 hours notice.

I was scared.

But I said yes.

Spent 48 hours downloading music, practising transitions and planning an entire set in order.

I was sh*tting myself

Then I got behind the decks.

The nerves disappeared.

I found my flow, ditched the planned set and just started picking songs based on the room.

Technically I made loads of mistakes. DJs would be disgusted 😂

But f*ck me I had the time of my life.

4 hours of complete presence.

And I got my moment.

Even if I never DJ again, that experience was worth everything.

For someone who loves creating things, expressing myself in a completely new way felt beautiful.

Thank you to everyone who watched, sent messages and especially Callum for the opportunity.

First club gig December 11th. No idea where this goes. For now it’s just a hobby, love of the game.

A reminder to go after things you want, not always for the result, but for the feeling.

I feel f*cking fantastic.

Where dedication meets execution.💖✨

I’ve been without a phone for two weeks, so I’m only now able to share my thoughts about Jesse Adams. ❤️

I’ve been going through eight years of Facebook and Instagram DMs between Jesse and me, and I’ve realized that most of our conversations were basically two grown men spooning through direct messages. 🤣🤣

The amount of love, encouragement, admiration, and emotional support we sent each other was ridiculous. And I wouldn’t change a word.
That’s who Jesse was.

What an honor and joy it was to know and love this man for eight years.

Jesse could change your entire emotional state simply by being present. His happy-go-lucky energy was infectious. His smile made you feel seen, special, and worthy of being here.

Random texts. Unexpected DMs. Little reminders that you mattered. He gave love away so freely.

Jesse was a hero to animals, but equally devoted to people. He found his purpose and jumped in with everything he had, committing himself to something greater than himself and serving those who couldn’t speak for themselves.
In 2022, Jesse joined our Mission Possible coalition to rescue animals left behind in Afghanistan. I grew to love this dude during that experience, and I’ve loved him ever since.

Which makes his tragic death in Ukraine so devastating.

His loss reflects the terrible darkness in our world. The cruelty, violence, and destruction that stand in absolute opposition to everything Jesse represented.

Jesse was the opposite of that darkness.

Where there was cruelty, he brought compassion. Where there was fear, he brought comfort. Where others saw hopelessness, he saw an opportunity to serve.

A man who devoted his life to bringing light into the darkest places was taken by the very darkness he was working to overcome.

It’s heartbreaking. Infuriating. Terribly unfair.

Yesterday would have been his 42nd birthday.

But a life isn’t measured simply in years. It’s measured in love given, lives touched, and service to others.

By that measure, Jesse lived an extraordinary life.

I love you, brother. Your light lives on. ❤️🐾
