The Halle O’Brien CIC is a Sefton based children & young people’s support project that was set up by Halle‘s mum Heather and her family in 2020, on what was Halle‘s 21st heavenly birthday. Halle died in 2019 at the age of 19, after contracting a rare form of meningitis when she was at Edge Hill University studying English language, with the hopes of being a teacher. Halle was a loveable friend to young and old and is much missed by her family, friends and to all who knew her.

"There is a Halle-shaped hole in all of our lives and as a family, we wanted to honour her by creating a legacy in her name, to support young people who haven’t had the best start in life, continuing to deliver on Halle’s passion for helping people to learn and develop both socially and academically."

Their mission statement is: ‘inspiring kids to grow’ and Halle’s legacy lives on in the knowledge of young lives made easier, communities brought together, and happy memories made.

The lovely Heather & June are currently finalists for Merseyside Woman of the Year! Please make sure you vote for them using the link on our stories! (You can vote once per day!)
