summer

i never really posted or talked about my dad here. but looking at these few pictures of him just made me want to share how sweet my dad was and how much he has changed my life for the better. incase somehow you do not know, my dad passed away january 18th, 2022. he was my whole life and soul. with me through everything whether he agreed with me or not. my most supportive person, my rock. this month has been a little tough and i haven't been able to stop thinking about him throughout it. i want you to know how great my dad was. he made me who i am and more. my dad is still the smartest person i know. let me brag about him a bit, talk about what he was like. my dad was a mechanical engineer, he had 30-40 years down his belt i believe! loved chess (rated ~1668!) and card games, he made one up with me one day and it's been a favorite to play. any nights id get anxious, id go into the family room with him and watch a movie with him, make necklaces and keep my hands busy, just talking with him and watching the movies. he gave me the best advice i have ever received, cared about me and my family more than anything. i remember singing my heart out to our (me, my sisters and dad's) song: midnight train to Georgia by gladys knight and the pips. followed up by rubberband man (a classic 🙏) sometimes i close my eyes and just think about him, think about our good times. his smile and voice, his amazing dad hugs. oh how i miss you dad, ill see you sometime. i don't expect anyone to read all of this, this is just to write in the void about my dad but i figured i could share! not to brag or anything (i am bragging) my dad was pretty cool
