It’s been a week since I last held your hand. I think often of the rosary in your hair and smile because it reminds me of a favorite song lyric.
I know I poured my heart into our last talk but this is to remind the heavens just how lucky they are to have you.
Thank you for being such an amazing brother.
Thank you for raising us.
Thank you for teaching be to be brave and what is means to truly have courage.
Thank you for being patient as I learned.
Thank you for telling to go back inside when I was trying to talk to boys.
Thank you for kicking those boys asses after I didn’t listen.
Thank you for never judging me and being so kind.
Thank you for accepting me.
Thank you for teaching me how to swim… you won’t believe how many people I know that never learned.
Thank you for loving me so so much.
Thank you for reminding me after every conversation.
It is because of you that I’m me. It’s because of you that I have such values and respect for the world around me. I walk with my head high full of grace because you believed in me despite our odds.
