The Opera season 2022/23 at @staatstheaternuernberg has come to an end. Over the last few months, this house has somehow become my happy place here in town.
I didn‘t know what to expect when I went there for the first time, but I know that I didn‘t expect such an amazing ensemble and such intriguing productions.
I‘m grateful that I was able to see three different productions among which I can‘t and do not want to chose a favorite.
„Carmen“ instantly made me fall in love with this opera house. „Le Nozze di Figaro“ helped me to clear my head and relax when that was what I needed most. And „La Cenerentola“ was probably the production that meant the most to me for different reasons, especially because of the way it addressed disability, mobbing and inclusion.
In addition to these great productions, I also really enjoyed the little concert at the „Blaue Nacht“ and the different song recitals in the more intimate atmosphere of the Gluck-Saal.
So, thank you to the amazing opera ensemble and all the other great people on stage, in the pit and behind the scenes! You all make the world a little brighter by doing what you do! 🙏🏻🌟
That said, I‘m really looking forward to the 2023/24 season! 🎶🎭
