After winning MBGN, I made a pledge to myself to enter rooms, have conversations and meet people that will inspire me to serve my community- and serve, I have! Today, at the invite of Fahmia Al-Fothia (Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist UNFPA), I attended the UN’s Spotlight Initiative Conference; a platform dedicated to fighting against Gender Based Violence and all forms of discrimination against women.
I also had a full circle moment today to be introduced as “An advocate for women health issues” by the legendary Mrs. Eugenia Abu.
A true blessing.
