Continuing from the previous post, we will consider the three requirements previously discussed one at a time - starting with what it means “to exercise justice.”

“To exercise justice” means to do what is right. God’s way of doing things is the standard of justice. The prophet Micah’s contemporaries, however, exercised not justice but injustice. In what ways, you may ask? I invite you to read Micah chapters 6 and 7.

Like the days of that prophet, we too, live in a world surrounded by a lack of justice, an atmosphere of distrust, and a breakdown of social and family life. However, the benefit of living by God's righteous standards is that we can create a better world by not allowing the spirit of this world’s unjust dealings and greed to make us behave in a dishonest way by taking advantage of others by making them believe something that is not true to advance in life, nor do we want treat others unjustly as we would not want it done to us.

Instead, we want to strive to exercise justice by upholding the principles of honesty and integrity, displaying these in our daily affairs of life. Meaning, we conduct ourselves honestly in all things. ~ Hebrews 13:18

Wouldn't you agree that doing something as simple as exercising justice, we enjoy a more peaceful life that allows us to sleep with a clean conscience at night? And more importantly, the rich blessings resulting from it is having an approved state with God, which is the ONLY guaranteed thing we can put our full trust in this unpredictably fleeting life.
