G’day there🙂, I’m Hannah and I’ve never officially introduced myself to you here, how rude! So here are 9 things that’ll bring you up to speed on “who/what/why is Hannah?”

🌱 I grew up on a urban herb nursery in subtropical Meanjin/Brisbane, have lived and gardened all over Australia my whole life and am now based in cool temperate lutruwita/Tasmania.

🌱 I live in a hot pink house on a steep hill overlooking nipaluna/Hobart with my partner Anton and our daughter - Frida Maria. We’re all unusually tall.

🌱 I’m obsessed with organic gardening and live amongst a large productive garden with native and herbaceous plants woven throughout. We’ve also got ducks, chickens, honey bees, two milking goats and Little Bro - our dog.

🌱 I’ve spent a lot of time practicing permaculture. I love it cause it’s more than just gardening/farming. It’s a holistic design framework that can be used for solution-based activism, which is my jam 👊.

🌱 I started Good Life Permaculture in 2013. It’s mostly just me, plus some talented contractors that come and go. We do permaculture workshops, landscape design and community projects towards climate resilience.

🌱 I’m a best selling author x 2(!!) with my first book (The Good Life) that’s about climate action. My 2nd book (Good Life Growing) is about how to grow fruit/veg in *any climate* in Australia. Link in profile for both books 👊

🌱 I’m the Tasmanian presenter for ABC TV’s @gardeningaustralia and I never want to leave because it’s such a dreamy gig and I love love love being there.

🌱 I’m a *huge fan* of meaningful climate action, you’ll see me share resources and information on this from time to time. And for Aus folks some great people to support include @seedmob @theclimatecouncil and @groundswellgiving @firstnationsfutures

🌱 Where’s this awesomely fun photo of me from?? Good question… This is one of the images from my 2nd book - Good Life Growing. I call it ‘cabbage muscles’. Photo by @nat_mendham and then I drew into it😁

It’s so very nice to meet you all!
