Happy Halloween! 🎃🩸 What better way to wrap up spooky season than with a return to one of horror’s most iconic stories? For our final digital cover of the month, we’re stepping into the world of #Carrie with Alison Thornton (@ali.g.thornton), who takes on the role of Chris Hargensen in Mike Flanagan’s series adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic debut novel. Reimagining a character previously portrayed by Nancy Allen in the beloved 1976 film, Alison brings a fresh perspective to one of Carrie White’s most notorious bullies. With the new adaptation expanding the story across eight episodes, Thornton explores the troubled teenager behind Chris’s cruelty, finding the humanity in a character audiences love to hate. “So much of what Chris does comes from her home life and her lack of emotional support, and a lot of the conversations with Mike [Flanagan] were just about humanizing her and making sure that she doesn’t just come from a place of cruelty for the sake of cruelty. A lot of her bullying Carrie has nothing to do with Carrie. It all has to do with Chris and what she’s going through, and her lack of healthy coping mechanisms.” Read the full cover feature at Popternative.com. Link in bio. Most fears feel much bigger in your head than they ever are in real life. 🐺🧠 ⠀ Fear makes everything look bigger than it really is. The conversation you keep avoiding, the move you’re scared to make, the dream you’ve put off for years. The longer you wait, the scarier they get, until you start building your whole life around avoiding them. ⠀ Then one day you finally face it, and it’s nothing like you imagined. Sometimes it isn’t scary at all. Sometimes it ends up being the most freeing moment of your life. ⠀ Courage doesn’t mean you stop feeling afraid. It means you stop letting fear make your decisions. ⠀ So take an honest look at what you’ve been running from. More often than not, it’s the very door that leads to the life you’ve been dreaming about. ⠀ Face what scares you, because on the other side of it is a version of you that you haven’t met yet. ⠀ Follow @Wealth to learn valuable advice every time you open Instagram. ⭐ Movie: Fantastic Mr. Fox ⠀ #Wealth #Courage #Fear #Growth #LifeLessons
