The Court of Appeal judges have ruled Vickrum Digwa's original 21-year jail sentence for the murder of Henry Nowak was unduly lenient and he has now been handed a 25-year sentence.

Jonathan Polnay KC, for the Attorney General, earlier argued Digwa's 21-year minimum term was too lenient, citing his use of a large dagger, abusing the religious exemption to carry it, and his conduct as Henry Nowak lay dying.
