Indeapth discussion of some of the physics challenges in designer toy making like centre of gravity, force on joints and order of assembly to aid painting.
Since this custom is one of my most complex to date I'm able to show examples of the main physics problems I come across as a toy maker. When I make my own toys it's easier cos I can designer then to tailor them to how they will be made, assembled and how I prefer to paint. This custom has been challenging beacuse retro fitting onto someone else platform isn't that easy and I have altered it quite a lot from the orginal. So the past 3 days I was just tried to figure out what needed adjusting, what order I was gonna assembly and how I was gonna paint each part. I'm not gonna lie this custom has used a lot of brain power! But a lot of art is basically coming up with solutions to problems. Sometimes of the the art making process as just fixing the issue you just made until it looked fixed enough even for 2D 🤣!
Anyway as I always say I'm not saying my way it the best way only yhat this was my thought process and this is how I did it. I hope someone finds it interesting... and if you watched the video all the way to the end... im sorry I stole 10mins of your life 🤣
Let me know if there is a physical aspect to toy making that you often come across 😊
Happy toy making!
