هیچگاه رازتان را به هیچکس نگویید حتی به کسی‌که فکر میکنید خیلی دوستش دارید روزی دقیقا از همان ادم برملا میشوید
Golden Demon entries were cool - but THIS is even better! Brave boxart painted by Sergio Vilches 💖 Great idea, great execution, great figure 😉
If you get about 2000 competition matches in grappling or wrestling under your belt, there will be very few situations or positions in an MMA fight that will feel unfamiliar. The majority of the new generation of MMA fighters have too little competition experience, which is part of why they deal with so many mental barriers before their UFC fights. Your body needs to adapt to adversity, the same way your muscles adapt to resistance. Performing a technique in the training room and performing it in competition are two different experiences. The smells, the lights, the sounds, the uncertainty. All of this creates a different kind of stress that you need to learn to perform under. Training builds your skills, competition teaches you how to access those skills under pressure. The more you compete, the more familiar that environment becomes. You learn to manage your nerves, make decisions and execute your techniques while someone is doing everything they can to stop you. With repeated experience, those responses can become more automatic. Then when you get to a high-level UFC fight, you have years of practice functioning under competitive stress. The stakes are higher, but the feeling is familiar. Compete often, compete with a mindset of acquiring skills, not just chasing a medal. Build that experience as an amateur so you can carry it into your professional career. #mma #ufc #bjj #wrestling #grappling
