BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Democrats now control enough states to potentially abolish the Electoral College through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Republicans did NOT have this on their bingo cards… Under the Constitution, states control how their electoral votes are allocated. Currently, almost every state awards all its votes to the statewide winner. This allows a candidate to win the national popular vote but lose the presidency. Small states like Wyoming have disproportionate influence. Wyoming has 3 electoral votes and 577,000 residents, while California has 54 electoral votes and 39.5 million residents. A Wyoming vote is effectively 3.8 times as valuable. Since 1992, Democrats have won the national popular vote seven out of nine times. Under the National Popular Vote compact, participating states agree to award their electoral votes to the national popular vote winner, regardless of which candidate wins their individual state. The compact takes effect once participating states control at least 270 electoral votes. So far, 18 states plus D.C. have joined, totaling 222. We need just 48 more! Democrats now have an opportunity to make that happen: * Wisconsin: 10 electoral votes. * Pennsylvania: 19 electoral votes. * Michigan: 15 electoral votes. * Nevada: 6 electoral votes. 10 + 19 + 15 + 6 = 50. 222 + 50 = 272. That’s enough to activate the compact! If Democrats also hold their lead in the Arizona Senate, the total could reach 283. Beyond correcting an imbalance that favors Republicans, this would fundamentally change presidential campaigns. Instead of concentrating their attention on a handful of swing states, candidates would have incentives to campaign nationwide. Voters in traditionally safe red and blue states would finally matter just as much. States have until July 20, 2028, to join in time for the next presidential election. We can fix our democracy. The time is now. Please like and share if you support this idea!
Ralph Macchio turns 65 today, and people have been questioning his age since he was 18 😂 🎬 During a 1980 screen test with ABC, Ralph was asked how old he was. “I’m 18,” he said. When the interviewer replied, “That’s hard to believe,” Ralph just smiled and said, “I know.” In 1992, he told David Letterman he’d just turned 30. Thirty years later, Jimmy Kimmel asked him the same question, and this time the answer was 60. You can see why the internet swears Ralph Macchio doesn’t age. 😂 Before he was Daniel LaRusso, Ralph was Johnny Cade in The Outsiders. He was 22 when The Karate Kid hit theaters, and by the time he played a college student in My Cousin Vinny, he and his wife were expecting their first child. Decades later, a whole new generation got to know Daniel as a sensei in Cobra Kai and Karate Kid: Legends. 🥋 Which Ralph Macchio role did you grow up watching? 💭 #MindsetTherapy #RalphMacchio #KarateKid
