Karwa Chauth has quietly become one of my favourite traditions, and I think I look forward to it a little more with every passing year. There’s something so lovely about all the little rituals that come with it. The mehendi, pulling out my jewellery, deciding what to wear and taking my own sweet time getting ready. There’s a certain happiness in dressing up simply for the joy of it, and this is one day I particularly love doing just that. What makes it even sweeter is how everyone at home gets into the spirit of it. All the ladies in the house put on mehendi, there’s the usual chatter and excitement, and somehow the preparations become just as special as the day itself. And somewhere in all of this is a quiet expression of love. The kind that doesn’t need grand gestures or too many words. Just a little faith, a little devotion, and the comfort of doing something with love, year after year. I’ve always loved how traditions find their own little place in our lives. How something passed down through generations slowly becomes so personal, filled with familiar faces, little memories and simple joys. Perhaps that’s what makes this one so special to me. A little bit of love, a little bit of tradition, and a whole lot of happiness in the smallest of things. ❤️ A special special shoutout to @theloomsaree @esthetiquejewels @kavis.ethnic_studio for making this outfit possible on such short notice!
