Music Heals.

Two words that say a lot.
I think those two words are the reason so many of you and I are connected.

I’ve always appreciated the chance to be in Vancouver helping raise money and awareness for the Music Heals event. The money raised supports certified music therapists working across British Columbia and Canada, along with other programs.

It’s not just that music makes us feel better. When it’s in the hands of a trained professional, it can profoundly change somebody’s day, and their family’s too.

This gathering is always a significant event. It was especially emotional and heartbreaking this year because it was the first time we did it without our leader and co-founder, Dave Barnett.

Co-founder and Dave’s darling, Sara Ferguson, along with the Barnett family and community, remains committed to doing their part in making this world a more humane, compassionate and truly better place.

Thanks to some very generous people, the night raised a lot of money to support that work. A big night for music, and an even bigger one for the people who benefit from it.

To say I’m concerned is an UNDERSTATEMENT!

Long lines formed at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center on Sunday as residents turned out to cast their ballots ahead of Tuesday’s election.

TCD Dearborn News spoke with nearly 100 voters waiting in line, with more than 95% of those interviewed saying they planned to vote for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

While the informal interviews do not represent a scientific poll or predict the statewide outcome, they suggest strong support for El-Sayed among the voters interviewed at the Dearborn early voting location.

The Michigan Senate race has drawn significant attention as voters prepare to head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 3.
