Padres Humor

I just woke up to the news that Padres owner Peter Seidler has passed away today in San Diego. This news comes as shocking and devastating to me and I’m sure to all other padres fans as well.

Peter was the best owner us Padres fans could ever ask for. He challenged the idea that we were a “small market” team and went against the league’s standards to do everything he could to make the Padres the best team it could possibly be. His dedication to winning and spending was unlike anything our franchise had ever seen. I could not be more grateful for the amount of effort and support he put into this franchise to bring it to what it is today. Without Peter, the Padres would still be a hopeless franchise with nothing to look forward to. This man did everything he could for this city to try and bring it its first professional sports championship. It absolutely breaks my goddamn heart to know that he won’t be able to see that moment happen. Has me practically on the verge of tears just thinking about it because of how much he has done for us. Rest in peace to the greatest owner I have ever known. My thoughts are with him and his family during this sad time.

When we get that first World Series trophy, in my eyes, it will be for the man who got us to where we are today: Peter Seidler.
