Time has a strange way of feeling slow when you’re living through it, yet incredibly fast when you look back. One moment you’re celebrating the beginning of a new year, and before you know it, another one is already approaching. As people get older, years can seem to pass even faster because daily routines become more familiar, making it harder to distinguish one period of life from another.

Psychologists suggest that our perception of time is influenced by memory, attention, and how many new experiences we have. Childhood often feels longer because nearly everything is new, while adulthood can become repetitive as responsibilities and routines take over. Looking back at how quickly the 2020s have passed is a reminder that time keeps moving regardless of whether we’re ready for it. The fact that 2030 is now closer than 2020 is genuinely hard to process. 😭

I am my moms worst nightmare 😂

THIS IS 50

My heart is so full of joy and gladness!

I woke up this morning with tears of gratitude and a heart overflowing with thanksgiving. God has truly been good to me.

As I look around me today, at my husband, my beautiful children, my family, and the amazing friends God has blessed me with, I can’t help but smile and say, Lord, You have been so mindful of me.

Through every season, His grace has carried me, His love has sustained me, and His faithfulness has never failed.

And today, as I turn 50, I am not counting the years. I am counting my blessings. The love that surrounds me, the joy in my heart, the gift of family, the friendships, the memories, and the countless little things I sometimes take for granted.

My heart is full. My cup truly overflows.
