Eight years ago today, Jensen and I got married in a moody venue in downtown Los Angeles. It was fun, delicious, and filled with so much love and personality thanks to Jensen’s hilarious vows and the overwhelming love we felt from everyone in the room. We’re so lucky to have the village we do and lucky to have each other and our insanely wild kids. No one I’d rather run this circus with. Love you @jensenkarp.

i’ve got 36 hours to take 1,000 stories to parliament - comment ‘change’ for the survey ever since my appointment to the @britishbeautycouncil i’ve been dreaming of a moment like this. starting ruka was more than just being about selling product or fundraising announcements. it has always been about becoming an advocate for the essential education, real innovation and now, real policy that protects us. i’ve been invited to present evidence to parliament that will shape regulation for hair extensions going forward on Tues 3 Nov 2026. @rukahair we’ve spent years investing in building the best fibre and striving for a higher standard than the market. without the support of real legislation, we invested in international lawyers and global labs for a safer, sustainable and ethical supply chain. but we know it’s not enough, and we can’t do it alone. protecting this community isn’t about instilling fear, but innovating for better choices and developing nuanced, scientific standards that institutionalise protection before it shows up on your scalp. so i’m asking for three policies: we want extensions being imported into the country or being produced in the country to be vetted for (a) their origins (b) what they’re made of / composition (c) a definition of safety with regulatory limits of ingredients but i can’t walk in there with just my story. i need yours. and i need them in the next 36 hours. so, if you’ve ever worn braiding hair, a wig or extensions, this is the one time your answer goes somewhere that can actually change something. comment ‘change’ for the link to the survey

Javits Frimpong’s Mother Reportedly Arrives in New York Doris Adu Gyamfi, the mother of 15-year-old Javits Frimpong, has reportedly arrived in New York to be with her family after her son was fatally shot on his way to school in the Bronx. Before leaving Ghana, she thanked those who had prayed for and supported her family. Speaking through a translator, she made one request clear. “I want justice for my son. That’s all.” She also shared that Javits had hoped to become a doctor. Javits moved from Ghana to New York about a year ago to live with his father. He was shot near Crotona Park on October 29 while walking to school. As of Wednesday morning, police had yet to announce an arrest. Pinkwall sends condolences to Javits’s family as they grieve and wait for answers.
@thejasminebrand: #PorshaWilliams is embracing every part of her journey, scars and all. ❤️ The “#RHOA” star proudly showed off her hysterectomy scar in a series of stunning photos and videos, sharing a powerful message about healing, growth, and self-love. “My hysterectomy scar is something I’ll never hide, just like any other scar I carry,” she wrote, adding that it serves as a reminder of her strength and everything she’s overcome. 🙌🏾💐 ✍🏾: @twilaamoure
