My Papa was my best buddy. He was always “larger than life” to me. His charisma, work ethic, and God given ability to connect with people are just a few things that I so respected and loved about him.
On 9/7/24, I got to stand back on the 50 yard line, where I once stood with him as a little girl, to receive, along with my 2 siblings and 2 cousins, the first ever Don M. Leebern Jr. Truehearted Bulldog Award. My Papa loved the University of Georgia and his fellow Lettermen with his whole heart. Sanford Stadium was his happy place, and a place where I shared so many memories with him.
What a wonderful memory I now get to add! Thank you again to the UGA Football Lettermen’s Club for this honor and celebration of Papa’s life. ❤️❤️❤️ Go Dawgs forever!

It was a grand day and the Letterman presenting the award to the Leebern grands was heartfelt and appreciated by me as well. Don did love his football and we will cheer on in his honor Go Dawgs!

What a huge honor and tribute. I know he was beaming in heaven as he watched you on the field. Thank you for sharing your precious memory of your Papa. His God-given gifts live on in you! You radiate his love. Don blessed us all ….he was a true gift from God. xoxo
