Hairlines are one of those physical features that genetics can influence long before someone even realizes it. The shape of your hairline, the size of your forehead, and the way your hair grows around your temples can all be inherited from your parents. Some people naturally have lower, rounded hairlines, while others are born with higher foreheads, widow’s peaks, or uneven hairlines that remain completely normal throughout their lives.

Interestingly, newborn babies often have thin or uneven hair because their hair follicles are still developing. Many infants also experience temporary hair shedding during their first few months, meaning their hairline can look completely different by their first birthday. While genetics plays a major role in determining someone’s eventual hairline, what you see at birth isn’t necessarily what they’ll have growing up. Some babies really do come into the world looking like they’ve already been stressing over bills for 30 years. 😭😂

A wedding invitation can get expensive real quick. Somebody sends you a beautiful invitation, and before you even RSVP, you’re already trying to figure out how much this friendship is about to cost.

Because it’s never just showing up. There’s travel, hotel rooms, clothes, a wedding gift, food, and possibly taking time off work. By the time everything is added up, somebody else’s big day can easily turn into a $1,000 weekend.

And that’s where people start feeling bad. Nobody wants to miss a friend’s wedding, especially someone they’ve known for years. But there’s a difference between not wanting to celebrate somebody and genuinely not being able to afford it.

What’s crazy is how some people will take it personally. As if declining an invitation automatically means the friendship doesn’t matter. Meanwhile, that person might be trying to keep their bills paid and groceries in the house.

A thoughtful gift, a nice message, or even a phone call should still mean something. Not everybody has the same financial situation, and nobody should have to put themselves in a hole just to prove they care.

A wedding invitation is an invitation, not a financial obligation. And a real friendship should be able to survive an RSVP that says no.

i need a nap!!!!

That’ll teach you to put your tree up early. #EbenezerMovie
