The Whistle Range has officially entered the chat 🫨

Last week at @albertastreetpub was my first time debuting my whistle register live onstage! I discovered this new register that opened up above my head voice about a year ago. It was extremely shrill and unwieldy but I continued to work on getting a handle on it and it’s really starting to turn into something amazing now. Had to try it on this new original piece of mine!

It’s more than a head voice. I access it in a completely different way and it feels incredibly freeing. Almost like my vocal cords aren’t touching at all, which can also make it really hard to control and the reason I waited so long to show it off, lol. I can’t wait to watch myself hone it more. This is gonna be a crazy time for DiMo 😈
