WHAT TO DO IN PRACTICE: 🍕

(Comment or Dm me the word TRIGGERS and I’ll send you a free assessment to identify what leads to your specific overeating and emotional eating)

I have to say this first ⚠️: you have permission to eat as many slices as you want and feel good eating. No one is coming to arrest you for eating two slices. 🚔 This post is the ladies who want to feel in control around pizza, or any food they love, without overeating!

Now that was said, know that is can be tricky to feel satisfied after one slice of pizza.

I get it. 😐

It is so good and makes the brain scream for more.

But with a few simple strategies, it’s absolutely possible to enjoy one slice and walk away feeling good—both physically and mentally.

These simple habits, combined, will help you avoid the loop of eating one slice of pizza -> saying screw it -> then eating the entire pie-> feeling all the guilt.

🍕Add to it - eating your pizza with a high-fiber, nutrient-dense side—like a simple green salad, grilled chicken or roasted veggies can help you feel fuller and more satisfied. The goal isn’t to take away from the pizza experience but to round it out so you feel satiated as a result of a more balanced meal.

🍕🍕Work on your mindset - more pizza doesn’t equal more pleasure. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that more slices will equal more satisfaction. In reality, after that first slice, the pleasure you get from each additional bite tends to diminish. You can enjoy one slice just as much as several. You can always have pizza again, so there’s no need to eat it all right now.

🍕🍕🍕Slow Down - Pizza is often eaten quickly, but slowing down can dramatically increase your satisfaction. What if you allow to fully taste the flavors and textures? Slowing down also gives your body time to recognize when it’s satisfied.

🍕🍕🍕🍕Let go of the drama. Pizza isn’t bad, and you have not committed an eating crime. Nothing has gone wrong. When you remind yourself of this truth, you don’t spiral into an all-or-nothing mindset and don’t need to self-sabotage (aka eating four more slices) as a punishment. Enjoy the pizza and move on.
