October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence causes far more pain than the visible marks of bruises and scars. As a survivor of Domestic Violence, I was not always open with telling my story and the trauma endured will forever be an ongoing healing process. I am now able to see how coming forward and telling my own story is the bravest thing I can ever do.
