writing this does not feel real… My beautiful mommy, to love me was to love her even more. You are my best friend and my biggest cheerleader. You made sure I never walked through life alone, you did life for me and with me. Everything I have and have accomplished was because of your sacrifice for me and there will never be enough words to thank you. Half of me left with you that day. I will spend the rest of my life trying to be one third of the friend, wife, daughter, and mother you are. Psalm 23:4🤍 I love you forever and ever and ever Mommy.

Forever grateful for my Mom and Dad. ❤️

I don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to explain what this moment meant to me. My parents are my biggest cheerleaders, and their hugs yesterday were something I had been looking forward to for all 26.2 miles.

My dad is about to turn 89. My mom is 77. And there they were, cheering me on at the finish line of the New York City Marathon. I know how lucky I am (and don’t take it for granted) to have them here, to have their support, to hug them, and to share a day like this together.

At 43, there’s still something about seeing your mom and dad at the end of something challenging that makes you feel like their little girl again. Looking for their faces amongst thousands. So happy just knowing they’re there.

Mom and Dad, thank you for a lifetime of showing up for me. Getting to put my arms around you yesterday is a memory I’ll carry for the rest of my life. 🥹❤️

Louisiana resident Marshan Camese went viral for this speech in May. Turns out, he was on point.
