Today I had a quiet birthday and took some time to reflect on the last year and set intentions for the next. I would be lying if I said this last year was easy. There were many ups and downs but I’m so grateful for all that I’ve experienced and all the wonderful people in my life.

Some told me I should cancel travel plans I had just 2 weeks after the accident. But when I was told how unlucky I was, I always disagreed because, after all, I am lucky.. lucky to be alive. Some say “life is short” but I think life is what you make of it. When life gets you down you can sit around and feel sorry for yourself or keep positive and keep going!

Is it possible for 1 year to be your worst and best at the same time? Either way, I will take the good and leave the bad. Here’s to another year on the earth. Thank you everyone that helped me along the way, in any form.. even just a word of encouragement was so much appreciated.
