my heart feels grieved today in ways I can’t seem to put into words. the trajectory in which the United States of America is headed… and watching those of us still standing, fighting for the Great American dream. a land where our families can freely worship, our children are safe, biblical truth is upheld, the innocent are protected, and the freedoms generations before us fought for are not so easily surrendered.

as a mother, I look at the world my son is growing up in and I would be lying if I said there weren’t moments that fear tries to creep in. I grieve over the things our culture has normalized, the evil we’ve learned to tolerate, and the truth so many have become afraid to speak out of fear of what “others might say.” but my hope was never supposed to rest in the outcome of an election. and neither was yours.

we can love our country deeply, grieve the direction it’s headed, stand unapologetically for biblical truth, and STILL rest in the sovereignty of a God who has never once lost control.

God never asked the Church to retreat when darkness increased, He asked us to be the light in the midst of it. we were never promised a comfortable world to raise our children in on this side of eternity. but we can raise our children to know the One who has overcome it.

elections may change who’s in office, but they will never change Who sits on the throne. our God is not shaken… His Word has not changed… and His Kingdom will never fall. Jesus is still King. yesterday, today, and forever. 🤍 #Jesus

Your next favorite Christmas decoration might already be in your storage bins.

A couple of years ago, I gave this colorful train a coat of gold spray paint, added tiny gifts tied with ribbon, and tucked it under our tree. Still one of my favorite holiday makeovers.

Before you shop this year, take another look at what you have. A different finish, fresh ribbon, or a new way of styling it can change everything.

Save this for when you pull out your Christmas bins. What decoration would you give a second look?

Spread the word! 🔁🤎 Across the South, maps have been redrawn, and voting rules have changed. That’s not a reason to sit this one out. It’s proof of how much our votes matter.

What we can afford. How safe our communities are. What rights we get to exercise. The people we elect make decisions that reach into our everyday lives, and our voices belong in those decisions.

Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Texas, and beyond: our vote is our commitment to moving the work forward, no matter the setbacks.

Before Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, check your registration and district, confirm your polling place, and review your state’s voting requirements. Read your whole ballot, front and back.

Then bring somebody with you! Make your voting plan with @whenweallvote. 🤎

we’re all mad here! or fully green. i think it’s the same thing.
