Some called me Rocket Man, even more called me the Tin Man...but no, the Halloween costume I made this year was much scarier: a missile. 🚀

It's a reminder of the horrific reality of so many innocent people around the world needlessly killed as we speak, courtesy of our government and tax dollars. 😢

When people found out what my costume was, a lot would immediately laugh it off. But I also watched so many smiles disappear and turn into this look of "ohh...ooo. I see. Ok.." and then come back around to slightly uncomfortable laughter 😅

Some discouraged me from being a missile, but I wanted to make a statement about what I feel is important, especially in view of the election - to urge people to consider which administration contributes more to the military industrial complex fueling so much death for souless profit incentives, and to vote accordingly. ☑️

I love and try to be friends with pretty much everyone, so broaching politics in your real life with friends often leads to draining conversations and invites a kind of judgment that is painfully alienating, even when you mean well and come from love. It seriously sucks. 😕

I mean even this post is already like...ughhh. Eww, you know? Whatever though. As I get older I feel more compelled to be vocal about what I believe is right. And anyway, regardless of differences of opinion, I don't think anyone can deny this costume was pretty bomb 💣
