She never asked him to explain. She only asked what he was going to do now, and he had no answer that was braver than the truth. Some endings are quiet because everyone already knows how the story goes. The loudest thing in the room is the person who finally stops lying.

I wrote a poetry book ‘Between Heaven & Earth’ and it’s out now It’s a collection of poems about love, heartbreak, loneliness, inner struggles, healing, and the quiet journey of understanding yourself and life along the way.

If you’d like to read it, comment “book” and I’ll send you the link

[poetry, poet, thefallenpoe.t, cheating quotes, heartbreak quotes, toxic love, betrayal healing, relationship poetry, leaving someone you love, love and loneliness]

One of the first things you can trust an adult bully to do is attempt to turn the people connected to you against you. And they’ll usually start with the people they believe they have more relational influence over.

At work, it’s the coworker who’s been there longer and starts planting seeds about you before people have a chance to know you for themselves.

In families, it’s the relative who doesn’t like you and makes it their personal mission to influence how everyone else receives you.

In friendships, it’s the person who quietly creates a narrative about you to ensure you’re never fully embraced by the group.

The objective is often the same: EXCLUSION.

And sometimes, the most uncomfortable truth is that you haven’t actually done anything to these people. Your confidence, your presence, the way you carry yourself, or even the way others naturally love and respect you can trigger insecurities they haven’t confronted within themselves.

Rather than examine why your existence makes them uncomfortable, they attempt to make everyone else uncomfortable with you, too. Because if they can convince people that you’re the problem, they never have to confront the possibility that the problem is their own insecurity.

And that’s what makes this form of adult bullying so manipulative. They don’t always attack you directly. Sometimes they attack your reputation, your relationships, and your opportunities to belong.

They manufacture a reason to resent you because admitting they’re intimidated by you would require a level of self-awareness they haven’t developed.

Pay attention to people who need an audience to justify their dislike of someone. Sometimes they’re not warning people about a problem. They’re recruiting people into their own unresolved issues.

Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms won the Georgia governor’s race, the Associated Press said. Bottoms focused on rising costs in her campaign. She promised that she would stand up to President Trump and work to expand Medicaid in Georgia. Bottoms is the first Democrat to be elected governor in Georgia in almost three decades.

Democrat Abdul El-Sayed will become the nation’s first Muslim senator, a historic victory that also gives his party’s ascendant progressive wing evidence that far-left candidates can win competitive elections even in presidential battlegrounds like Michigan.

Three people will become the first Black governors of their states: Republican Byron Donalds in Florida, Democrat David Crowley in Wisconsin and Democrat Aaron Ford in Nevada.

Along with Bottoms, they join a group of only six Black elected governors in U.S. history.

Democratic state Rep. Gina Hinojosa toppled Republican Gov. Greg Abbott in the Texas governor’s race, according to the Associated Press, a stunning turn in the typically red state.

Chris Pappas, who won his race in New Hampshire, will be the first openly gay man to serve in the Senate. He didn’t focus on the potential milestone during his campaign, instead emphasizing issues such as inflation and health care.

Minnesota Democratic Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan will be the first Native American woman to serve in the Senate. She comes from her party’s progressive wing, supports Medicare for All and taxpayer-subsidized child care, and calls the war in Gaza genocide.
