As Ashley and I sit here dwelling in our excitement and gratitude over our recent engagement, I am overwhelmed to the point I have been left speechless by this gift God has given us. I find myself troubled in deciding the right words to announce our anticipated proposal because how does one describe his love for the woman that defines beauty and sets standards of character and love? @eagbmw restored my E36 in 85 days. It started with one last burnout with it barely running and that very day it was taken apart down to a bare shell. For those people who don’t know the story, I bought this car in Spain. We got taken for a ride. It came with a blown engine and it was in horrible condition. Just for us to make a road trip across Europe @_imran_arshad found another engine and swapped it in just in time. The car looked like it was in a stage rally in its previous life and jumped a few times. It had three paint jobs, one layer of green and two yellow. The front frame rails were two centimeters off from factory spec right side to left. The entire passenger side front corner was hit and replaced poorly with the shock tower coming apart. The driver side door was steel and the passenger side was the aluminum lightweight version. The driver side got hit as the door hinge area was also two centimeters punched in. The interior was equally as horrendous, all the panels were coming off or missing. The fabric was either all torn or worn out. Now it’s better than it was when it left the factory. The point of all of this was to prove that it could be done. Sure we could have scrapped this car, but we just made lemonade out of lemons instead. I wanted to thank @drewleslie at EAG for taking the lead on this project. I also wanted to thank our supporters, @vacmotorsports, @fcpeuro, @kw_suspension, @apg.performance.brakes.usa, @garagistic, @INDstyle, @eventuri_, @rupesusa, @alpha_n_performance, @gtechniq_na, @CSF_radiators, @Vyper, @kasselperformance @supersprint_official, @antigravitybatteries, @hre_wheels and @yokohamatire Also a special thanks to the EAG team on the mechanical side as well as the body and paint side. We are very proud of this build so that is why we decided to enter into battle of the builders this year. This will also be a series on the Hagerty Channel as well similar to what I did with my R34 restoration. The crazy thing is that EAG does these sorts of things all the time to all of their cars, but they just don’t get to document in detail like this, just like how it was with Garage Yoshida.
