Todavía aquí estamos vivos 🇵🇷
We are still here. Only getting stronger. Only growing in numbers. This year my connection to the island was cemented. I know where I’m from. I know what runs in my veins. I am clear on the mission my ancestors have for me. I am not just doing this for me, I’m doing this for those before and after. When I heal, my people heal. I’m coming for the lands the colonized have stolen. I’m coming with the power of an entire people behind me.
We use this day not just to honor the ancestors but to reclaim our roots. Our culture. Our lands. May this day be one that you REMEMBER where you came from.
Power to the indigenous of all lands, across all nations and continents. Power to the oppressed. The tides are shifting back on our favor. Do you feel it?
Happy indigenous peoples day.
