Kayzel Forbes, the DA’s Ward 50 candidate in Kariega, believes her political work may have made her a target after her home was torched late on Monday.

Forbes and her three daughters escaped the blaze, although her 17-year-old daughter sustained burn marks. Police are investigating arson and no arrests have been made.

Forbes is challenging the ANC in a ward long considered one of its strongholds and has vowed to continue campaigning despite the attack.

Roman Holiday (1953) 🛵🇮🇹🎞️

And the Emmy for “Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series” goes to LUCKY CHOW!

@franfilm and I are incredibly lucky to do work that we love — traveling the world in search of delicious stories to share — and beyond honored to be awarded for doing just that. Truly a "pinch me" moment!

I created Lucky Chow 10 years ago with the early and ongoing support of @caamedia, @pbs @ampublictv @createtvchannel and will be eternally grateful for their dedication to amplifying #aapi voices.

Huge thank you to @dearclarissa and all those who trust us to tell their stories…as well as those who tune in! And, of course, thank you to the Academy and @theemmys.tv !

BREAKING: People Against Genocide break into Ultra I&C's Hertfordshire weapons facility and smash Israeli military satellites, on the 109th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration.

Ultra Intelligence & Communications (I&C) specialise in "AI missions" and "battlefield communications systems", syncing Israeli weapons with command centres.

The firm supplies Israeli weapons firm Elbit Systems, and supplies the Israeli military directly with satellites - the same ones destroyed today.

109 years ago today, Britain promised a "Jewish homeland" in Palestine, where the majority of the population were not Jewish.

The Balfour Declaration and ongoing British colonisation of Palestine led to the expulsion of more than half of the indigenous Palestinian population, village massacres and a further 78 years of ethnic cleansing, culminating in the current genocide in Gaza.

Today, crucial weapons and components needed to maintain the ongoing genocide and colonisation of Palestine, is made and exported from Britain.
