Phone banking blooper. Ok when we phone banked we would click “ready” and while it was dialing we’d see the name, where they’re from and general script to follow along with the conversation. My mom was on a roll calling and talking to people. Then I heard her say “Names are very important. Can you tell me how to pronounce…oh.” I looked up and saw her staring blankly. I came over to see what she was looking at and…I understood quickly. As one with a different name I know the pause people have confused and then quickly had the same face. This person has got to help a sister out next time tell me how to pronounce this.
