Governor Gavin Newsom of California spared the lives of everyone on death row in the state, commuting the sentences of 548 prisoners. This cancels approximately one-fourth of all death sentences nationwide.

It also marks the largest mass commutation of death sentences in modern American history. Newsom said he made the decision because he finds capital punishment morally objectionable. He reduced every death sentence to life in prison without parole, a sweeping move that will require a review by the state’s highest court in some cases and could draw legal challenges.

One more take… until I’m satisfied! 🕺🔥 Behind the scenes of Nakhre from Tum Mere Ho—dancing, repeating, and loving every beat!

Huge thanks to @sanjurathod07 for giving us such a lovely song! ❤️🙌 And a special thank-you to our choreographer, @firoz.a.khan —my childhood friend and my guru, who taught me how to dance and perform. Sharing this journey with you means so much, bhai! ❤️🙏
