For millions of people in #Ukraine, living with the threat of attacks is part of daily life.

@unepGoodwill Ambassador @nikolajwilliamcw spent a night in Kyiv’s metro alongside families forced to find shelter there amid strikes.

“The strength it takes to carry on, to keep working, parenting, studying, and living through this reality, is remarkable,” he says.

“Sleep should not require a shelter. Home should not be a place of fear. Everyone deserves to sleep peacefully in their own bed, in their own home.”

After having several traumatic experiences in the neonatal intensive care unit, Terry Berggren began cuddling NICU babies at HCA Healthcare’s Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Rob Holcomb, a neonatologist and medical director at the hospital, describes the “gentle, nurturing touch” from volunteers like Berggren as an “integral and intricate part” of how they care for their NICU patients.

Berggren, who has cuddled over 550 babies in the NICU since he started, received the hospital’s 2026 Frist Humanitarian Award for his dedication to the Warm Arms program. Tap the link in bio for the full story.
