PMDD, or as we called her, Pam DD, almost took Amanda from me. I almost lost my person, the one who has always felt like home to me. For a while, it felt like we were losing something neither of us ever wanted to let go of.

But after Amanda’s surgery, Pam DD was GONE. Just like that. And I got my Amanda back. And that’s when I realized I never actually lost her. And she knew she never lost me.

PMDD is no joke, and watching someone you love go through it gives you a whole different appreciation for just how much it can affect someone’s life. I’m so incredibly proud of Amanda for everything she’s been through and everything she’s done to get to where she is today.

Even during the time we weren’t technically together, I was still her biggest cheerleader. There was never a question of whether I wanted to be there for her. I love her, and I have zero regrets about being part of her journey through one of the hardest chapters of her life.

More than anything, I’m grateful she trusted me enough to be vulnerable with me, to let me see the hard days, and to let me love and take care of her through them.

And now? Everything is different. We get to experience each other and our relationship without Pam DD constantly inserting herself where she doesn’t belong.

Through it all, we never really stopped being us. We just had a very unwelcome third wheel for a while.

Turns out the only breakup we really needed was with Pam DD. Good riddance! #PMDD #PMDDawareness #longdistance #wlw #invisibleillness https://www.iapmd.org/pmdd

The petrol price will drop by a mere 1c per litre overnight as a massive increase in the slate levy cancels out the relief on the general fuel levy granted by Treasury.

Diesel will, however, drop by between a rounded R1.10 and R1.20 per litre at wholesale level.

The slate levy feeds the Slate Fund, which is used to refund fuel importers for the difference between what they actually pay for fuel on open markets and the regulated price at which they may sell it. The Slate Fund’s balance at the end of September was almost -R16 billion, which necessitated an increase of 48.14c per litre in the levy, bringing it to 135.64c per litre.

My rock, my life, my reason for being. The greatest gift is being your daughter and carrying everything you taught me. The strength you ingrained in me, the knowledge, the love, the perseverance. I could go on forever.

The value you brought to my life is eternal. It is a forever kind of love, one of such rarity that you simply cannot find anywhere else.

I love you, Dad. Your legacy lives on.
10/24/26. 💔

On the morning of October 30, 2026, Letícia Galvão, from Guarapari, Miss Espírito Santo and Miss Charm Brasil 2026, was appointed Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Espírito Santo Maritime Cluster during a diploma presentation ceremony held at the Captaincy of the Ports of Vitória.

The ceremony was attended by the Captain of the Ports, CMG WENDEL Armani; the President of the Espírito Santo Maritime Cluster, Vinícius Bocaiuva; RM1 Dário PAES, and Second Sergeant WILSON.

The Espírito Santo Maritime Cluster is an association based in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo, dedicated to promoting ocean literacy and maritime awareness, serving as a bridge between the present and the future while driving the sustainable development of the maritime economy.

With initiatives that extend beyond Brazil’s borders, the Espírito Santo Maritime Cluster establishes international connections through cultural, scientific, and educational exchange projects, such as Espírito Santo Antártico (ESANTARTICO), which brings the state closer to the Patagonian region of Chile. These initiatives expand opportunities for cooperation between institutions and countries, strengthening Espírito Santo’s presence in global discussions on the oceans, sustainability, and the maritime economy. As Plenipotentiary Ambassador, Letícia joins this international outreach effort, bringing the visibility of her platform as Miss Charm Brasil 2026 and the opportunity to connect Brazil with new dialogues, partnerships, and initiatives around the world.

Combining her professional work as a veterinarian with her volunteer efforts to combat domestic violence through Espaço de Convivência Paz e Bem, Letícia immediately begins her official agenda as an ambassador of the Maritime Cluster.
