Chapter 1 Vol. 1 - SoDak - Fulfilled
On our final day, as I looked across the wide, open landscape filled with some of the most pristine upland bird habitat, I was overcome with joy, contentment, and just a touch of sadness. I felt fulfilled in a way that only time in the field can bring.
While I won’t be sharing a picture of a 5-man limit of ringnecks with my 8-month-old pup at my side, what I can share is a photo of a pup who gained valuable experience, worked his tail off, and truly enjoyed every moment—earning each bump, bruise, and sore.
This first trip for Brew and me as partners in crime may not have filled the bag, but it was packed with countless wins and memories. Now, it’s time for some TLC, R&R, and a few tune-ups before we’re off to western Kansas in a couple of weeks!
