A little reintroduction: my name is Kayleigh, and I started Jam and cheese ππ§ 3 years ago.
I am qualified (and still practice) as a Chartered Accountant but have ALWAYS had a passion for clothing π and the environment π±. Jam and cheese ππ§ combines both of these passions.
I started sewing at the age of 13 out of my frustration of not finding any clothing that would fit me properly. This is something I believe ALL people face - no matter what shape or size you are. And it's something that unites us. Which is why offering customisation and all sizes is at the core of Jam and cheese π π§
Lastly, why the name?
I couldn't do Jam and cheese ππ§ without honouring my late father somewhere. He and I had such a unique and quirky relationship. We always had a joke that only we were laughing at. He made me a Jam and cheese ππ§ toebie for school almost everyday. The name Jam and cheese ππ§ seemed like the most appropriate name to capture our sweet and savory sense of humour and relationship that when combined was the perfect fit. π₯°
Jam and cheese ππ§ is a quirky, fun space we are shaping and growing where you can be completely you and fully empowered in clothing that makes you feel your absolute best - all while ensuring sustainable inputs, practices and zero waste.
