ANONYMOUS SUBMISSION: Actionists disabled surveillance cameras in downtown Manhattan on Halloween, according to a video and communiqué submitted to my inbox:

“We dipped our toes into the global call for halloween deflocking, at Broadway and Canal in Manhattan. There are so many to hit, join us! Paint filled fire extinguishers are fun! Cordless power saws also look fun!

The stories of cops abusing flock and ALPR cameras are endless, the most egregious we’ve heard yet is a cop using it to stalk a child for s*x! (see @unitingnow). Down with the surveillance state!
