Suddenly, they have a professional voice, a detailed agenda, and several people waiting for their approval. Apparently, the person sending you nonsense at 2 a.m. also oversees a department. You try to stay quiet, but every “Excellent point, Jennifer” makes it harder. There’s an entire group of adults who know your friend as a reliable expert, and you’re sitting nearby with information that could completely disrupt that image. The call ends, they turn back to you, and you immediately need to discuss whoever that was.
