Keanu Reeves once gave away a substantial portion of his earnings from The Matrix sequels to help fund the films’ special effects and costume teams. Although viral claims that he donated $70 million are exaggerated, Reeves is known for his generosity toward film crews. He also reportedly gifted Harley-Davidson motorcycles to members of the stunt team working on The Matrix Reloaded.
Interestingly, Reeves was once a talented ice hockey goalkeeper who dreamed of playing professionally. His nickname was “The Wall” because of his goalkeeping abilities.
