Haley Stevens did not ask for the moon. She asked for three things any decent Democrat should be able to say without choking: denounce Hamas, recognize Israel’s right to exist, and denounce anti-Jewish hatred. That was her price for standing beside her party’s Senate nominee. It was the lowest bar in politics, set at ankle height, and Abdul El-Sayed could not clear it. He would not condemn the ad, would not meet the conditions, and would not even let her near his events.

That refusal tells Michigan everything about whose coalition El-Sayed answers to. Stevens spent the primary season defending him, took the boos for it, and still came back asking only that he draw one clean line against terror and bigotry. He chose the activists over her. He chose the crowds that cheer “death to Israel” chants over a congresswoman asking him to say the obvious. A nominee who cannot denounce Hamas to keep his own party together will never stand up to anyone once he holds power.

And look what loyalty bought her. Schumer called her endorsement of Rogers a despicable betrayal. Her staff resigned in a wave. A heckler screamed traitor at her press conference. She asked for decency and got excommunication. Michigan Democrats just showed every voter in the state what happens to anyone who puts conscience over the machine. On Tuesday, voters can answer for her.

It’s not over ‘til it’s over. @nycmarathon 🥈😤

Had to tell myself this more than times than usual yesterday. It wasn’t a day where I felt perfect, but it didn’t need to be.

@mountainroche and I had a pre-race call before I left for NYC and his advice was “just be Jess.” I don’t think he knew that something so simple could give me so much confidence.

There was no over-engineering or overanalyzing anything. I stacked a lot of imperfect, grindy bricks at altitude and in the AZ heat this summer.

The workouts that I thought were pretty “meh” or a “check the box/get it done” type days ended up being the ones that David said made me better, not the workouts where most splits/reps/things went to plan.

All that was left to do was get to NYC healthy, enjoy it all, take whatever the race had to throw at me, and “just be Jess” through all five boroughs.

I sent David a DM two years ago after the NYC Marathon after being a fan of him, Megan, and the pod for quite sometime. He was so gracious with his time and lent an ear when I needed it the most.

I told him I wanted to get better, but keep it fun. I don’t think a lot of coaches would care about that second part as much as the first. But he did.

It has been a very fun two years of working together and discovering my best self. I owe a lot of this to him. So @mountainroche… just keep being you, too!

Thank you to the @nyrr team (Dorian, Sam, Christine, everyone!) for taking a chance on us and making NYC feel like home.

The @brooksrunning fam helped us share our unique journeys to NYC. The love at Brooks runs so deep and I feel so lucky.

Thanks to Connor, my Dad, and my besties for making me feel like I can full send it and they would still love me even if it all went sideways.

& thanks to @set4go_llc for getting me to every start line healthy the last 4 years.

Congrats to @sheilachepkiruiken & @hellenobiri… thank you for getting the best out of us all yesterday.

Can’t say thank you enough for all the sweet messages I have received. Down bad crying on the plane reading through them all. I love this sport so much!

Left it all on the field on my way to a WMM podium!! 😭

Love and Deepspace | New Interactive 5-Star Memory 🤖 [Xavier: Program Fallacy]

A shooting star streaks across the sky. A spaceship lands.
An alien android—cool, distant, and seemingly harmless—crashes straight into your dream retirement.
Before he carries out his mission and destroys the world, there's still time—
to plant a few flowers, to understand him, and to uncover the "divergence" between emotion and command.
"This is the best ending. This world won't be destroyed. You'll survive with the small flowers you like."
