NASA’s latest look at NGC 2264, better known as the Christmas Tree Cluster, shows a cosmic formation about 2,500 light-years from Earth that looks remarkably like a glowing holiday tree.

The “ornaments” are young stars, still forming inside swirling clouds of gas and dust, offering astronomers a rare peek at the earliest stages of a star’s life ✨

I was doing storyboards for Over the Garden Wall (which was still being called Tome of the Unknown at the time - which is why it says that on the storyboard template) and had this musical sequence in the outline. Here’s a screenshot from the text exchange when I asked @davidvstevenson to write the song based on the title phrase I suggested. I think he wrote and recorded the demo overnight. Then I drew the storyboards for that scene based on his lyrics. Later The Blasting Company and Colin Dean recorded the final version for the show. #overthegardenwall. #potatoesandmolasses
