PMDD, or as we called her, Pam DD, almost took Amanda from me. I almost lost my person, the one who has always felt like home to me. For a while, it felt like we were losing something neither of us ever wanted to let go of.

But after Amanda’s surgery, Pam DD was GONE. Just like that. And I got my Amanda back. And that’s when I realized I never actually lost her. And she knew she never lost me.

PMDD is no joke, and watching someone you love go through it gives you a whole different appreciation for just how much it can affect someone’s life. I’m so incredibly proud of Amanda for everything she’s been through and everything she’s done to get to where she is today.

Even during the time we weren’t technically together, I was still her biggest cheerleader. There was never a question of whether I wanted to be there for her. I love her, and I have zero regrets about being part of her journey through one of the hardest chapters of her life.

More than anything, I’m grateful she trusted me enough to be vulnerable with me, to let me see the hard days, and to let me love and take care of her through them.

And now? Everything is different. We get to experience each other and our relationship without Pam DD constantly inserting herself where she doesn’t belong.

Through it all, we never really stopped being us. We just had a very unwelcome third wheel for a while.

Turns out the only breakup we really needed was with Pam DD. Good riddance! #PMDD #PMDDawareness #longdistance #wlw #invisibleillness https://www.iapmd.org/pmdd

The meaning of the words in the Rorogwela lullaby.

Here, Tony Kwaomae and Celsus Talifilu explain the sadness of the story it tells.

To watch the full documentary, Searching for Afunakwa, or to read and hear a translation of the lullaby, see links in bio.

Comment “walk” to join NO SIT NOVEMBER and “workouts” for your 3 day split! I GOT YOU COVERED!!! And please remember you don’t need to start running to “get serious” about fat loss!

Walking is often easier to fit into your day and recover from, especially when you’re already lifting and eating in a calorie deficit. (Which you should be prioritizing!!)

BUT REMEMBER if your goal includes getting stronger and building muscle, your step count doesn’t replace strength training!!!

You also don’t have to start EVERYTHING tomorrow.

Here’s one way to build:
Month 1: Gradually increase your steps toward a manageable goal.
Month 2: Keep walking + add two 30-minute full-body workouts.
Month 3: Add a third workout if your schedule and recovery allow.
Month 4: Start tracking protein to see how much you’re actually eating.

You can include protein from day one btw!!! But if tracking overwhelms you you dont have to necessarily put it IN APP until month 4!

Start with a 10-minute walk after lunch. Put it in your calendar. Repeat it until it becomes part of your day, then build from there.

Comment WALK to join my No Sit November walking challenge!!!!
I’ll send you the details + printable PDF, with beginner, intermediate, and advanced options so you can start where you are. @thatgirlwhowalks you go girl!!!

LETS GOOOO!!!!
