An Alien Registration Number and the phrase “I love you, mom.” I don’t know exactly when and I don’t know how, but sometime this year I began covering family detention and family separation almost exclusively. Over the last few months, I’ve met so many children whose lives have changed drastically in a matter of hours. One day they’re studying for a math test and the next they’re in a white van surrounded by masked men. One night, their mom is reading them a bed time story and the next they’re wondering if she’s ever coming home. Last week, I met Valery. A brave 6-year-old who proudly read her mom’s A# from a piece of paper and told me it was important to have it handy. She is six. Her mom Adela and older sister Sofia, were at the Dilley immigration processing center at the time. As it happens with most of the cases I cover, I was in awe of Adela’s children. Bright, brave and resilient. It made it difficult to say goodbye, I never want to say goodbye. Today I was able to return. And I witnessed the moment Valery got home from school to a surprise she had been praying for. Her mom, Adela, was released. Her sister is home again too. It was a bittersweet moment. They are happy, but they lost so much. Attorneys @coreysull and @attorneygoldfinch fought ruthlessly for this mother. Yes, I get to shed light on these stories, but they carry the weight. They do the work.

I’ll be sharing more very soon with those who’ve joined my email list so if you’d like to hear what it’s all about just Comment WAITLIST and I’ll send you a DM to add you to the list 😍🙌 👇 5 top finds in Lidl right now! 1️⃣ Slice of Life pizza. From a small Irish business, with a base that’s 40% cauliflower and carrot, and 42g of protein per pizza. 2️⃣ All butter shortbread. Just flour, butter, sugar and salt. No palm oil like you find in many other standard biscuits today, and only 2g of sugar per shortbread. 3️⃣ Tomato lentils. Handy for lunch or as a side at dinner, with no artificial additives and great ingredients! Just decant them into a glass bowl before heating or just heat on the hob! 4️⃣ Irish apples. Seek out the Irish ones amongst all the imported apples and support our local growers. 5️⃣ Glenilen Live Natural Yoghurt, 1kg. Made in Cork with Irish milk, and €3.99 for the big pouch which is a good saving from buying the smaller pots 🙌 #sophiesswaps #cleverswaps
Honda is making a fresh start in the electric SUV space and it’s putting India right at the centre of it. Meet the Honda ALPHA, the manufacturer’s upcoming all-electric SUV. First showcased as a concept at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, it will make its global debut in India on 2 December 2026. More importantly, India will be the global production base for the SUV. This is a significant move for Honda, which has been relatively quiet in the EV space so far. The big question now is what makes it from this concept to the production car. We’ll know more in December. #PowerDrift #Honda #HondaAlpha #HondaElectric #Electric
