Chapter 42: The Part I Kept Is it vanity to enjoy being wanted? Probably. I’ve stopped pretending otherwise. The man was never the point. That’s the part I had to sit with afterwards. I liked the attention. I liked producing it. I liked the morning after a good conversation more than I liked him. And when I stopped, I felt guilty for about a day and relieved for a lot longer. The relief is what bothered me. Relief means it had been work. And work means I had been doing something. Maybe I didn’t want him. Maybe I just wanted to know I could make him want me. I never found out whether I could. That’s the honest end of it. He was polite on the first morning and polite on the last one, and nothing he ever did told me anything. Here is the part I’m less comfortable with. That was years ago. I live somewhere else now. I have a job where nobody is allowed to know anything about me. And the machine still runs. I can tell you how many people saw yesterday’s chapter. I didn’t have to go and look. I’m not going to pretend I don’t know what this is. I told you a story about wanting to be looked at. And then I watched to see if you would. #beingwanted #honesty #vanity #anaschuwaltz #anachapters

Stop letting “trendy” Mahjong advice ruin your game. 👉Comment YES to get the full strategic breakdown of these 5 strategies sent straight to your DMs. If Mahjong strategy feels confusing to you right now, it’s probably because you’re seeing a bunch of rigid absolutes that contradict each other. Don’t pass flowers....but sometimes pass them. Call for tiles....but sometimes you shouldn’t. So what are players supposed to actually be doing? The biggest mistake I see Mahjong instructors and players make is assuming there’s a single “right” way to play every hand. But here’s the truth: Mahjong is not a game of absolutes. It’s a game of flexibility and critical thinking. The best players aren’t the ones who memorized a strict formula; they’re the ones who know how to stay fluid. I broke down 5 unconventional ways to think about a handful of Mahjong strategies to completely shift your mid-game logic and train your brain to look at the same strategy from entirely different angles. 👉👉Comment YES to grab it. #mahjong #americanmahjong #mahjonggame #mahjongg #mahjong🀄️
