British workers are increasingly disengaged from their jobs and have become less willing to go the extra mile to help their employer, according to a survey that lends substance to claims that productivity has suffered from a wave of so-called ‘quiet quitting’ in the aftermath of the pandemic. One-in-four workers were not even ‘fairly’ satisfied with their main job — the gloomiest in the survey’s 35-year history and up from one in five when the question was last asked in 2015. Tap the link in our bio to read more. Photo credit: Toby Melville/Reuters Image description: Commuters cross London Bridge during morning rush hour, with City of London skyscrapers visible in the background. 🕯️ You should have been blowing out birthday candles, Mohammad Mehdi—winning more medals, making memories, living. The Islamic Republic took your life, but your name remains in our hearts, alongside the hope for a free Iran. On your birthday, we wish for a country where no mother has to light her child’s birthday candle beside a photograph. Remembering Mohammad Mehdi Karami. A life stolen. A name never forgotten.
