Sunset over the Pok Fu Lam reservoir, Hong Kong.
Pok Fu Lam was the colonies' first reservoir, built in 1863 by the Corps of Royal Engineers. It was wholly inadequate for the islander's needs and was replaced by another reservoir 15 years later.
The Former Watchman's Cottage is among a number of buildings still intact today that are listed as historical monuments.
