This one really hit home @lalaviewsandvibes . I stepped up where another man stepped out—raising five kids. One eventually went to live with his grandmother on that side, and we recently had one of our own. I also adopted my nephew, bringing the grand total to **seven**. It hasn’t been easy, especially when you hear **"You're not my dad!"** every other day. My response was always the same: **"I know. I’m not trying to take anyone’s place. He can come get you whenever he wants—open door policy."** But did he? **Nope.** It’s been about **18 years** since I stepped into their lives, and on the **15th year**, something unforgettable happened. The two oldest sat me down—one on my left, one on my right—and shared some beautiful words about the time I had invested in their lives. Then, at the end of the **YouTube video** she was making, she said: **"We have one last question."** At that moment, my **gut and heart dropped**. She pulled out a **blue gift bag** and handed it to me. I looked inside… **Guess what was inside?**
