All of us bodybuilders had to compete in a single category because there were only 14 bodybuilders in total across all the different weight categories.

Since the number of bodybuilding athletes was relatively low, the organizers decided to combine all the categories into one. Most of the competitors in that category were over 90 kg in body weight.

For me, winning a Pro Card in this competition was extremely challenging because I was competing against athletes who were much bigger and heavier than me.

Only the top three athletes were going to receive Pro Cards.

If the competition had been conducted according to individual weight categories, the gold medalists from each category would have qualified. That would have meant around five or six athletes in total, representing all the different categories, competing for those three Pro Cards.

But here, all 14 athletes were competing against each other in just one category, and only the top three would earn their Pro Cards.

So you can imagine the difference between an 80 kg athlete and competitors weighing 90, 100 kg or even more.

It was an extremely tough competition, and winning a Pro Card became even more challenging for me.

The preparation was intense, the hard work was greater, and that’s what ultimately helped me win my Pro Card.

So, to clarify, there were 14 athletes competing in one single bodybuilding category, and only the top three athletes were awarded IFBB Pro Cards.🏆
