Dubai drivers, your road trips now come with a time limit. A new UAE law will limit how long drivers can spend behind the wheel. From January 1 2027, motorists across the UAE will not be allowed to drive for more than nine hours within a 24-hour period. The rule applies to all drivers and is part of updated federal traffic regulations aimed at improving road safety and preventing fatigue-related accidents.
Recipe for 3 wheat tortillas⬇️ For the Bakarwadi Masala: • 1 tbsp jeera (cumin seeds) • 1 tbsp dhania (coriander seeds) • 1 tbsp saunf (fennel seeds) • 1/2 cup grated dry coconut • 4 tbsp baked sev • 1 tsp garam masala • 1 tbsp red chilli powder • 1 tsp chaat masala • Salt as per taste For the Filling: • Prepared masala mixture • 1 tbsp til (sesame seeds) • 1 tsp crushed red chilli • 2 tbsp baked sev • ¼ cup imli chutney Other Ingredients: • 3 whole wheat tortillas • Oil for brushing • Cornflour slurry (cornflour mixed with water) Method 1. Dry roast jeera, dhania and saunf until aromatic. Lightly roast the grated dry coconut separately. 2. Transfer the roasted ingredients to a mixer grinder. Add baked sev, garam masala, red chilli powder, chaat masala and salt. 3. Coarsely grind the mixture. Make sure the masala remains dry and does not release oil. 4. Transfer to a bowl. Add til, crushed red chilli and baked sev. Mix well. 5. Add imli chutney and combine until the filling comes together. 6. Lightly brush a wheat tortilla with oil. Spread the prepared filling evenly over it. 7. Roll the tortilla tightly and cut into small bakarwadi-sized pieces. 8. Seal the edges using cornflour slurry. 9. Air fry at 150°C for 15–20 minutes or until golden and crispy. Bakarwadi, healthy bakarwadi. Healthy snacks. High protein snacks, healthy low calorie snacks
Are you consistently anti-oppression? Speciesism - the discrimination based on one’s species- is a social evil no lesser than sexism, racism or casteism. It is rooted in the same supremacist mindset that some lives matter more than others. The CCSEA Draft Rules of 2026 is an outrageous expression of speciesism that asks more animals to be exploited for human benefit. As citizens and earthlings, we should stand our ground against such abusive laws.
